Support of boardwalks

Helical piles are the preferred choice to support boardwalks in environmental sensitive areas in various countries across the globe. The footprint of helical piles are negligibly small and thus these products are viewed as green technology that does not negatively influence its immediate environment.

One of the main advantages of installing helical piles in environmental sensitive areas is that the piles that have already been installed can be used to create a platform for the installing equipment which are used to install these piles, thus eliminating the risk that the installing equipment can further damage the local environment.

Support of outside stairs

Helical piles can effectively be used as foundation to various external staircase types located on sand dunes, hills or other similar applications. The advantage of using helical piles for these applications is that the entire staircase structure including the helical piles can safely be removed when it needs to be decommissioned.

Support of observation decks

The quick installation of helical piles in various soil conditions makes it the most suitable deep foundation product to be used as foundation for observation decks. These platforms are usually located on top of sand dunes or on top of hilly terrain where access is usually problematic for heavy equipment. Light weight installation equipment can be used for the installation of these piles in very limited access areas.

Support of remotely deployed buildings

Many buildings are remotely located which includes buildings such as:

– Pump houses

– Site offices

– Security guard houses

– Lookout huts for fires in plantations

– Lodges / safari tents located in bush terrain

Helical piles can effectively be used as deep foundation for these structures due to the speed of installation and that no curing of concrete are required that influence the programme of construction.
